Scan canonical availability blocks before promising dates. Manual holds can be created and updated here; channel sync, reservation confirmation, messages, and payments stay outside this workflow.

Create an operator-controlled block.

Use checkout-style dates: start date is blocked, end date is the first open day. This creates only a manual availability block; it does not create a reservation, sync channels, send messages, or trigger payments.
